And don't get too down about the game's cancellation a new entry in the franchise, simply titled Star Wars: Battlefront, was revealed at last year's E3 and will be set during the original trilogy era. Previous instances of leaked footage have been swiftly removed, so don't expect this to hand around for long. It was then bought and rebranded as Crytek UK, which has since become Deep Silver Dambuster Studios and is working on Homefront: The Revolution. Free Radical, best known for its work on the TimeSplitters franchise, had a deal with EA to create the third and fourth entries in the Battlefront franchise, though this was cancelled and the developer fell into administration. The early footage, which you can see below, is naturally very rough around the edges but offers a glimpse at both land and vehicle-centric combat that would have been available had the game seen the light of day. While it differs to the Free Radical map in layout slightly, it was purely for the benefit of gameplay and Star Wars Battlefront II. 30 minutes of pre-alpha footage from Free Radical's cancelled Star Wars Battlefront III has leaked online.
